Au pairs

Nannies on Demand work hard in finding genuine Au Pairs who are caring, enjoy being around children and have good childcare experience, equally we place Au Pairs with good quality families that treat Au Pairs with respect and kindness. We not only offer an Au Pair Programme for those seeking to Au Pair in New Zealand but as a member of the International Au Pair Association we work with partners throughout Europe and the U.S in finding placements for New Zealanders wanting to Au Pair overseas.

Being an Au Pair is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a great family, experience another culture and meet new friends.                                                              

To apply for an Au Pair position you will need to:

• Have a genuine liking of children
• Have a happy disposition
• Have total commitment to your role as an Au Pair & follow the guidelines of the programme
• Have at least 120 hours documented childcare experience
• Be at least 18 years of age and no older than 29 (Please note some programmes have age restrictions)
• Provide proof of a recent clean Police Check/Report from your home country
• Provide at least two childcare related references
• Provide at least one character reference stating your suitability in an Au Pair role
• Have a valid full Drivers Licence  (The majority of families require a licenced driver)
• A good level of English
• A medical check stating that you are in good health
• Medical, travel and public liability Insurance while you are here in New Zealand
• A return ticket or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket
